The State Fair opens on Friday Sept. 30th and runs through Sunday, Oct. 23. The Garden Trains at the Texas Discovery Gardens will be running each day of the Fair from 10 AM till 6:00 pm. If you are a club member, or even if you are not, we could sure use your help to operate the Garden Trains during the Fair.
If you're interested, please send a message to info@ntgrc.org with your name, email and phone number. Other than having a lot of fun, you'll get an up-close parking pass and a free admission to the Fair. We're looking for volunteers to do at least a half-day shift. The shifts run from 10:00-2:30 and from 2:00-6:00. Or you can do the entire day if you're up to it. We can use you for as many days as you're available.
For the morning you'll need to be there a little early to get set up and at the end of the a little longer to close things up. The rest of the time you can visit the Fair and enjoy it. The free up-close parking and admission pass if golden by itself.
